1. Bill Burton: “John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.” What is the point of saying this? First small town America “clings to guns and religion” and now this? What the fuck do you guys have against small towns?

2. Pretty much everyone is essentially saying that VP position is “a heartbeat away from the Presidency, and Palin has no experience.” I guess they are feeling compelled to say this because McCain’s campaign has been using the same line of attack on Obama for his inexperience. Now that McCain picked Palin, they’re all jumping on the wagon saying “Gotcha!” But in reality, Palin has more executive experience than Obama (and on an unrelated note, she didn’t use her husband as a leverage). Who’s the one that wanted to hold unconditional talks with dictators just a few months ago? Yeah… and he’s running for PRESIDENT for God’s sake, not VP. The more they want to talk about this so called “experience,” the more it’ll hurt their candidate. 

3. John Roberts is afraid that when Palin becomes VP she will “neglect her children.” Okay, you might as well tell her to go back to her kitchen and make you a fucking sandwich. 

4. Keith Boykin calls Palin “an affirmative action pick.” A CRITICISM coming from a DEM. Just…. priceless.

Hello! To celebrate the end of a brilliant tour, we’re going to webcast the last show here in America. We’ll be playing live in Santa Barbara, at the Bowl. It’s one of our favourite places to play; I think we’ve ended tours there before, once even playing a cover of ‘ cinnamon girl ‘. It’s not too big, in fact it’s very intimate, a small arena with a dirt floor, set in pretty countryside. It should be a special night, for lots of reasons, and we’re going to try and share as much of it as we can on the webcast. Nigel, our producer, will be helping out getting it to you, so if it goes wrong….It’s live!
